According to the Echo, Liverpool's bid for Yankuba Minteh was rejected this summer, with Brighton & Hove Albion refusing to let him go.

Despite completing a record deal for a new winger, Brighton & Hove Albion has no intention of selling Yankuba Minteh on transfer deadline day. The Seagulls have agreed a deal with Millwall for Femi Aze, with a potential transfer fee of £15 million, but this deal is unrelated to Minteh's future.
According to Sky Sports, this expenditure does not mean Brighton & Hove Albion will allow Minteh to leave in the final hours of the transfer window. It is understood that Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion were prepared to resume negotiations to find common ground, but significant differences remain between the two Premier League clubs.
The Reds' two bids for Minteh in August were rejected, after which they turned their attention elsewhere. However, if Brighton & Hove Albion had lowered their £80 million valuation, the deal could have been revived. Minteh is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield.
Liverpool has also made no significant progress in signing Sarr from Crystal Palace. The 28-year-old forward has not featured for the Eagles this season, while the South London club is pushing to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon.
Sarr has reportedly told Crystal Palace that he wishes to complete a move to Liverpool. However, manager Pierre Sage stated last week that the player would remain at Selhurst Park.
