On September 1, Watford Football Club officially announced the signing of Dutch forward Myron Boadu on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old Boadu joined Watford as a free agent on a long-term contract. The Dutch forward will begin his English football career at Vicarage Road.

Boadu developed through AZ Alkmaar's youth academy in the Eredivisie and gradually became an important attacking player for the club. He made 88 appearances for AZ Alkmaar, scoring 38 goals.

In 2018, at just 17 years old, Boadu became AZ Alkmaar's youngest goalscorer in Eredivisie history.

During the 2019-2020 season, Boadu delivered an outstanding performance in his career. He scored 14 goals in the Eredivisie and contributed 6 goals in the Europa League, demonstrating exceptional finishing ability.

Following his impressive performances, Boadu joined Monaco in Ligue 1 in 2021. During his time there, he made nearly 70 appearances for Monaco.

In the second half of the 2023-2024 season, Boadu returned to the Netherlands on loan, joining Twente to gain more playing time.

In the 2024-2025 season, he was loaned to VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga. In Germany's top division, Boadu made 19 appearances and scored 9 goals, showcasing high attacking efficiency.

Last season, Boadu played for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie, making 17 appearances and winning the Eredivisie title with the club.

Netherlands International Experience

Boadu has earned 1 cap for the Netherlands national team.

In November 2019, he made his senior international debut for the Netherlands in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Estonia, scoring a goal in the match.
