The Premier League officially announced the candidates for the August Manager of the Month award, including Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, and Hull City manager Ruben Amorim.

All four teams maintained perfect records in the opening two rounds of the Premier League season. Manchester City scored 6 goals and conceded 2, Arsenal scored 4 goals and kept two clean sheets, Hull City scored 3 goals and kept two clean sheets, and Chelsea scored 7 goals and conceded 5.

Only these four teams maintained a perfect record in the first two rounds of the Premier League and currently occupy the top four positions: Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Hull City.
