Ferran Torres celebrated a "dream" Champions League debut for Paris Saint-Germain after his hat-trick against Slovan Bratislava.

The two-time reigning European champions began their quest for a third straight title with a 6-1 rout at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Ferran, who joined PSG this summer from Barcelona, scored a hat-trick, with Ousmane Dembele helping himself to a double and Fabian Ruiz also on target for Luis Enrique's team.

Spain international Ferran is the sixth different player to score on his Champions League debut for three different clubs, after Fernando Morientes (four), Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Saviola, Gabriel Jesus and Erling Haaland (all three).

"It was like a dream, an incredible night," Ferran said.

"It was my first Champions League game with PSG and we won and I scored a hat-trick.

"Seeing such passionate fans, I wish this day could never end! It's always important to score goals, to play well, to show what the team showed tonight, to live up to expectations.

"I'm really very happy with the welcome I've received at the club, how everyone has made me feel at home. I've probably settled quicker than I expected and I hope to bring even more joy to the supporters."

Ferran became the first player to score a hat-trick on their Champions League debut for a side since Robert Lewandowski for Barcelona against Viktoria Plzen in September 2022.

Dembele, meanwhile, has scored in five consecutive Champions League games for the first time, becoming the sixth player to do so for PSG and the first since Kylian Mbappe in September 2022 (six in a row).

Last year's Ballon d'Or winner is the third PSG player to score 2+ goals and provide 2+ assists in a Champions League game, after Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

Dembele was involved in four goals (two goals, two assists) in a Champions League game for the second time, after one goal and three assists for Borussia Dortmund against Legia Warszawa in November 2016.

"It was a really good performance and we really enjoyed it, attacking and defending as one," Dembele said.

"We are delighted. The atmosphere is incredible in the Parc des Princes. It's the Champions League, everyone is motivated and everyone wants to play in this competition and with fans like these, it's truly exceptional."

Luis Enrique, meanwhile, feels there is still plenty more to come from his team.

"The only negative is conceding that goal, but overall, I'm very happy," he said.

"I think everyone has confidence in this team, especially our supporters who understand we will go through some difficult times in a season. But we have shown that we are here, that this is our competition and we want to keep it that way."
