Liverpool has officially announced that Joe Gomez has resumed training with the team. The defender has been sidelined since suffering an injury in a pre-season friendly against Sunderland in late July.

Gomez resumed training with his teammates last week and is expected to be available for the third-round League Cup match against Tottenham at Anfield.
Manager Iraola said on Monday: "He has been training with the team. I think he will be available tomorrow, and the question now is how long he will play and what is most appropriate."
At the pre-match press conference, Iraola was also asked about Conor Bradley's recovery.
Iraola: "I think he is still a long way from training with the team. He is training individually, but he has started working with the ball. Of course, I hope he recovers as soon as possible, but this is a long-term injury.
"I think Leny is recovering a little faster than him, but Conor still needs some time, yes."
