Fiorentina have announced the signing of Poland Under-21 midfielder Szymon Zurkowski from Gornik Zabrze.

A statement on Fiorentina’s official website confirms Zurkowski has put pen to paper on a contract until 2023, although he will remain at Gornik for the rest of the season.

The Viola have reportedly paid €3.7m for the 21-year-old, who had also been linked with Juventus, and committed to spending a further €1.3m in bonuses.
