On 16 December, FIFA has announced the winner of the Fair Play Award as Regensburg team doctor Andreas Harlass-Neuking.

Andreas Harlass-Neuking, the team doctor for SSV Jahn Regensburg, performed emergency treatment on a fan who collapsed before a crucial 2. Bundesliga match between SSV Jahn Regensburg and 1. FC Magdeburg at the Magdeburg stadium, successfully saving the fan's life.
