According to Mundo Deportivo, 19-year-old Diomande is close to joining Real Madrid, with the likelihood of the deal's completion being widely discussed.

Recently, Tomás Guasch stated on COPE radio's "El Partidazo" program: "This is interesting. I believe that until the World Cup, only a few people who truly know Real Madrid, or have access to extensive information about the club, would have predicted he would eventually arrive here. A few months ago, he was still at Leganés, virtually unknown; and even when noticed, it was primarily because of his stint at RB Leipzig."
Diomande was playing at Leganés, just a few kilometers from the Bernabéu Stadium, not long ago, yet this proximity failed to catch Real Madrid's attention. He subsequently transferred to Germany for €20 million. Now, merely a year later, his move to Madrid is rumored to cost between €120 and €130 million—an extraordinary spike in value.
This fee is part of an exceptionally active summer transfer window for Real Madrid, as Guasch noted: "Compared to last season, the starting XI will be completely overhauled, with six to seven new players." Guasch also commented on the signing and its context: "This is a transfer exemplifying modern football, where everything has become ridiculously expensive. It looks promising—let's see what unfolds, because until you get a proper look at this situation, you can't judge it fairly."
The journalist concluded by emphasizing the current market's dysfunction: "Real Madrid has paid an absurd price for a player who isn't even elite. The market has spiraled out of control, which perfectly reflects today's transfer environment. I don't think a proper market exists anymore."
