According to The Sun, England coach Thomas Tuchel plans to combine two Nations League matches with an overseas mini-training camp during the first major international break after the World Cup, to further strengthen team cohesion.

England will host Spain, the new world champions, at Wembley on September 26, and tickets for this Nations League match have already sold out. Subsequently, Tuchel plans to lead the team on a 5-day overseas training camp after the home match against Spain.

According to the current schedule, England will play away against the Czech Republic on October 3, most likely in Prague; four days later, the team will travel to Rijeka, Croatia, for another match. The England team will likely not return home between the two away matches, but instead choose to remain and train in the Czech Republic or Croatia.

Reports indicate that this arrangement will help Tuchel extend his concentrated working time with the players. Previously, he had lived and trained with the team for seven weeks during the World Cup.

Although Tuchel failed to lead England to the World Cup title this summer, he still has the full support of the FA and the players. England was eliminated by Argentina in the World Cup semi-finals, but the FA's trust in Tuchel was not shaken.

This international break is quite special, with four national team matches scheduled, so the Premier League will pause for approximately three weeks. After this, England will only have one more international break this year.

On November 12, England will host Croatia; on November 15, they will play away against Spain, with the match confirmed to be held at Atlético Madrid's home ground, the Metropolitano Stadium.

This will be England's first match in Madrid since 2004. In that year, the Three Lions played at the Bernabéu, and an incident of racial discrimination against English players occurred.

The Metropolitano Stadium has a capacity of 70,692 spectators and has hosted three matches of the Spanish senior national team since its opening in 2017. This season's Champions League final will also be held there.

England has already been promoted from Nations League B to A. The goal for the new season is to finish in the top two of their group, thereby qualifying for the Nations League quarter-finals next March.
