According to an official announcement from Tottenham Hotspur, Porro returned to the Tottenham Hotspur training base on Thursday morning local time and received a World Cup champion-level welcome.

The Spanish international is back with the team for pre-season training for the first time after winning the 2026 World Cup this summer.
In this tournament, Porro started 5 of 7 matches for Spain, including all knockout rounds. He helped Spain eliminate Austria, Portugal, Belgium, and France, and defeated Argentina in the final on July 19.
The full-back also scored his first two international goals in the tournament held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, first scoring against Austria, and then scoring a brilliant goal against France in the semi-finals.
Now, 26-year-old Porro is a world champion. This is also the fourth player in the club's history to lift the World Cup trophy while registered with Tottenham Hotspur. Teammates, coaching staff, and players and staff lined up to welcome him back to the Tottenham Hotspur training base.
