According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Argentine goalkeeper E. Martinez.

Romano stated that Chelsea and Aston Villa have reached a club-to-club agreement on a permanent transfer, with a fee of £7.5 million.

He also said that E. Martinez gave Chelsea the green light yesterday, and both parties agreed on personal terms today.
