Before Liverpool's home match against Nottingham Forest, Neco Williams was interviewed by TNT Sports alongside Gerrard, who lavished praise on the 25-year-old Neco Williams.

Welsh right-back Neco Williams came through the Liverpool academy but was sold by the club four years ago, joining Nottingham Forest after their return to the Premier League. Gerrard believes his former club "should have kept" Williams and is confident the player has not yet reached his full potential.
Gerrard said: "This is a player who trains the way he plays. He comes to the training ground every morning and does everything right. He is very professional and a winner. He is very aggressive and competitive. We always knew he had a lot of talent. If you can do everything else on top of talent, you can play at the Premier League level and maintain that level.
"And I still think he hasn't reached his limit yet. I think at his age now, with increasing experience, time, and the number of matches, he can still go up another level."
Gerrard continued: "He is now playing on the left side, which is not his natural position, but he has performed very well there. Imagine what he could do on the right side! For me, he is an excellent full-back – I'm not saying this to flatter Forest fans, but Liverpool really should have kept him."
