Olympique Lyonnais are reported to have reached an agreement with Stade de Reims regarding the signing of Keito Nakamura (26), according to information from L’Équipe.

Under contract with the Champagne-based club until 2028, the Japanese winger is set to join the Rhône-based side on a €2m loan deal with a mandatory buy-out clause of around €11m, excluding bonuses.

Already on his way to Lyon to undergo a medical, Nakamura will, however, only sign his contract once the departure of Malick Fofana (21) – who is reported to be on the verge of joining Crystal Palace – has been finalised.

Having moved to Reims from LASK for €12m in the summer of 2023, the Abiko-born player has made 97 appearances – including 57 in Ligue 1 – for the French club, scoring 30 goals and providing seven assists.

A Japan international, Nakamura has made 29 appearances (11 goals) for the Samurai Blue, notably representing them at the 2026 World Cup, where he scored one goal and provided one assist.
