Multiple media outlets had previously confirmed that Al-Ittihad had reached an agreement with Feyenoord to sign Anis-Moussa for €30 million. However, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf confirmed that Feyenoord refused to complete the deal because the departure of the Algerian star could negatively affect the team's attacking options.

Feyenoord had already sold Japanese forward Ayase Ueda to Lille last week, which made it even more difficult for Anis-Moussa to leave.

The Dutch summer transfer window closed last night, Wednesday, meaning Feyenoord will no longer be able to sign players to replace Moussa.

Feyenoord can now only sign free agents, and even then, they cannot be registered for the Champions League after the deadline has passed.

Feyenoord believes that losing Anis-Moussa would harm the team's Champions League prospects, especially with their opening match against Barcelona next Wednesday at Spotify Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad must find an alternative solution after failing to sign the Algerian winger, particularly following the departure of French winger Moussa Diaby to Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.

It should be noted that Anis-Moussa has performed excellently since joining Feyenoord in the summer of 2024, making 86 appearances for the club and scoring 26 goals with 13 assists.
