Neville believes Enzo joining Man City is the most significant midfield signing in the Premier League this summer transfer window.

Gary Neville believes Enzo's transfer to Man City represents the most important midfield signing of the Premier League summer transfer window. The Argentine player joined Man City on deadline day for £125 million, ending three years with Chelsea.
Man City's pursuit was not straightforward. Enzo pushed for a move away from Stamford Bridge before the transfer window opened, and Chelsea ultimately decided that allowing him to leave in the final hours of the transfer window was in the club's best interests.
Negotiations between the two clubs began on Monday, the penultimate day before the transfer window closed. Man City's initial offer of £104 million plus add-ons was rejected, with Chelsea demanding a fixed fee and valuing him at £135 million.
Man City then tabled an offer of £125 million, which Chelsea accepted. Enzo was one of several midfielders to move this summer. Manchester United signed Tielemans, Baleba, and André Santos for a combined £155 million.
Newcastle United's Tonali and Guimarães transferred to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal respectively, while Matheus Fernandes also joined Tottenham.
Tottenham spent £185 million strengthening their midfield, while Arsenal paid £75 million for Guimarães. Despite the quality of these signings, Neville maintains that Enzo's move to Man City is the most significant midfield transfer of the summer.
Neville said on the show, "But he's better than the other midfielders who've moved this summer, isn't he? Is he better than Elliot Anderson? I think perhaps he is."
Neville continued, "I think he's more mature. I think he's better than Matheus Fernandes, Tonali, and Guimarães. So from a quality perspective, they've signed a top-class midfielder, haven't they?"
Neville also said, "Look at Tielemans, Baleba, and Santos that Manchester United signed. Of all these transfer signings, he's the best player."
Man City invested heavily in this summer's transfer window, with total transfer fees reaching £454.2 million. Enzo is their biggest new signing, and the club also spent £60 million on Everton forward Ndiaye, with the fee potentially rising to £65 million with add-ons.
The 26-year-old Ndiaye was brought in to replace Marmoush, who joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan at the start of the transfer window. Before these last-minute deals were completed, Man City had already invested heavily in rebuilding their squad.
Elliot Anderson was Man City's first major signing of the summer, agreeing to join during the Club World Cup. Subsequently, Abdukodir Khusanov joined from Lens for £49 million. Savinho also arrived, and Matteo Kovacic completed Man City's midfield overhaul.
