Rolando Mandragora is back in Turin. The midfielder, whose name has been trending on Transfermarkt searches in recent days, has completed a permanent €5m move from Fiorentina to Torino FC, signing a deal through 2026. It is comfortably the biggest outlay of the window for the Granata and signals a clear intent to bolster the engine room. Mandragora already knows the club and the city well, and his return provides a proven Serie A presence in the middle of the park at a time when Torino needed reinforcement.

Alongside Mandragora, Torino have been active in the loan market, bringing in four players on temporary deals. Daniel Bragança arrives from Sporting CP for a €1m loan fee, adding Portuguese league quality and creativity to the midfield options. Rafik Belghali joins from Hellas Verona, also for €1m on loan, while Niccolò Fortini has been recruited from Fiorentina for €500k on a temporary basis. Perhaps the most intriguing addition is goalkeeper Lucas Perri, who comes in on loan from Leeds United to add competition between the posts.

Two further arrivals round out the incomings. Nathan Patterson has signed on a free transfer from Everton, giving the squad a young, energetic right-back option with Premier League experience. Veteran Swiss defender Ricardo Rodríguez, who had been without a club, has also been picked up — a shrewd, cost-free addition who brings international pedigree and defensive versatility. In total, the seven signings have cost Torino just €7.5m, reflecting a strategy built heavily around loans and opportunistic free deals.

On the departures side, the club has been equally busy clearing the decks. The most notable exit sees young forward Alieu Njie head to Fiorentina on a €4m loan, a move that partly offsets the Mandragora fee coming the other way. Ivan Ilić and Ali Dembélé have both joined Lecce on loan, while Tino Anjorin has moved to Turkish side Göztepe on a temporary deal. Three younger prospects — Wisdom Acquah (Modena), Marco Dalla Vecchia (Cesena), and Côme Bianay Balcot (Red Star FC 93) — have all been farmed out on loan to gain first-team experience at lower levels.

The overall picture is one of pragmatic squad management. Torino have addressed key areas — central midfield, goalkeeper depth, and full-back cover — without breaking the bank. Mandragora's arrival is the headline act, but the cumulative effect of bringing in experienced heads like Rodríguez and Patterson alongside promising loanees such as Bragança gives head coach a noticeably deeper roster. With the loan departures trimming fringe players, Torino enter the next phase of the season with a leaner, more purposeful squad that looks better equipped to compete in the middle tier of Serie A.
