According to Franco Ordine, a journalist for "Guerin Sportivo," Milan's squad reinforcement remains incomplete, with defensive vulnerabilities at center-back.

Ordine stated: "Milan did not complete their squad reinforcements during the transfer window. The club made excellent signings in three positions: defender (Gila), center forward (Ramos), and winger (Moreira), sparing no expense. However, Amorim himself frankly admitted: 'It's impossible to do everything in one transfer window.' Other positions were not fully strengthened, so the team decided to invest in youth players. Positioning Camarda as Ramos' backup is considered a weak point in the attacking line."
Ordine added that when the midfield employs a double pivot, the combination will be Modric-Musah and Jashari-Komoto. Based on performances against Torino and Venezia, Rabiot, with his excellent shooting ability and physical attributes, appears more suited to an attacking midfielder role.
There are still gaps in central defense, with the team having only Gabbia and De Winter to handle the upcoming three-competition campaign. Ordine believes Milan needs an authoritative and experienced defensive organizer. With Hodgson arriving late in the transfer window, Milan has additional options for attacking midfielders, suggesting the Portuguese coach prioritized offense over defense. Whether this approach will prove effective in their European campaign remains to be seen.
