According to Marca, Málaga is evaluating whether to enter the transfer market to fill the void left by Lobete's injury, with Wilfried Zaha being one of the candidates.

Málaga began studying different options after Lovett's injury, and several players have been put forward in recent days. Journalist Matteo Moretto revealed that Zaha is one of them. The 33-year-old Ivorian international is currently without a team after leaving Galatasaray.

Zaha has extensive top-flight experience, with his most notable period coming during his time at Crystal Palace. He played for Crystal Palace twice, making 458 appearances, scoring 90 goals and providing 54 assists. During his career, he also played for Manchester United, Galatasaray, and Lyon. Most recently, he spent a season and a half with Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer, making 48 appearances, scoring 13 goals and contributing 8 assists.

Zaha also represented Côte d'Ivoire for many years. He was not included in the World Cup squad in the United States, but he was included in the Africa Cup of Nations squad in January this year. Now the 33-year-old is a free agent waiting for a new club.

Currently, there are no active negotiations between Zaha and Málaga. His name only appeared on the list of players recommended to the club following Lobete's injury, and Antony Martial is also among them. However, Martial's salary demands make this deal particularly difficult.

Málaga also has limited time to make a decision. The process of registering Lovett's replacement depends on his injury date and when La Liga issues a favorable medical report. From that moment, Málaga has 20 natural days to apply for a replacement registration, provided that all relevant requirements are met.
