Gor Mahia are top of Group D standings with eight points, same as their next opponents USM Alger

Francis Mustapha is set to miss Gor Mahia’s midweek clash against Kariobangi Sharks on Wednesday.

The Burundian travelled back to his home country and will not be available for selection as K’Ogalo returns to the domestic competition after missing out last weekend.

“He (Mustapha) has issues with his passport. He travelled to Burundi to sort out the issue and he will not be available for Kariobangi Sharks match,” Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr confirmed to Goal.

Lack of proper travelling document also saw K’Ogalo’s new signing in June missed out on a trip to Tanzania but the reigning Kenyan champions still managed to force a 3-2 win over Yanga in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Kerr side are leading the Group D standings with eight points, same as their next opponents USM Alger with Rayon Sports and Yanga on third and fourth places respectively.

Domestically, Gor Mahia will be looking to open a 15-point lead at the top of the table with a simple victory against Sharks.

Gor Mahia have 52 points from 20 games, having played three games less than second-placed Sofapaka.
