The Malaysian FA (FAM) on Friday announced the final 23-man Malaysia squad for the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship finals.
The competition, which is hosted by Malaysia, will see all four of its semi-finalists qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup finals as Asian representatives.
Malaysia will be represented by boys from the National Football Development Programme (NFDP), a programme run by the country's youth and sports ministry. Its project director, former Malaysia international and Bayern Munich youth coach Lim Teong Kim will also lead the squad as head coach in the tournament.
The competition will begin on September 20, with the final match to be played on October 7. The matches will be held at three venues in the Klang Valley area.
