Week three of the GFF women’s second division league saw the Gambia Armed Forces continue their perfect start to the season with Prisons FC and Kinteh’s FC both registering vital victories while the remaining two matches ended in stalemates on Wednesday.
The Kahki Girls (GAF) recorded their third victory in as many matches with a narrow 1-0 defeat of City Girls FC in Brikama. Nyima Jarju’s strike in the 64th minute was enough for the win.
Elsewhere, Prisons FC registered their second win in a tense 1-0 victory away to Lower Niumi FC in Jarra Soma. Kinteh’s FC also defeated Mansa Wally FC 2-1 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to record their first win of the season.
Meanwhile, newcomers Sallahs FC held Future Bi FC to a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Live Your Dreams Academy in Basori. Awa Faal’s third minute strike for Jeshwang United was cancelled out by Mansata Badjie of Rakie FC in the 20th minute for a share of the spoils in a closely contested 1-1 draw at Brusubi.
Meanwhile, the game between Darboe’s FC and Jung Mama FC was called off in Manjai due to the ongoing impasse between the Manjai Sports Committee and the Community of Manjai.
