According to Bild, two Bundesliga clubs, Stuttgart and Werder Bremen, are embroiled in a dispute over newly released brand visual designs, with the core of the controversy stemming from the handling of the letter "Ü".

Bremen unveiled a new brand identity this week, but the special design in its new font, where the two dots above the "Ü" are embedded within the curve of the "U," has been accused by netizens of being highly similar to the brand font launched by Stuttgart a year ago. In addition, there are many overlaps in the layout of social media posters and the presentation of embedded founding years for both teams.

The focus of this controversy points to the same design agency—Munich-based Societas. This company first developed an exclusive font and visual language for Stuttgart last year and was then hired to create this new brand design for Bremen. Stuttgart's management is quite dissatisfied, believing that the agency "recycled" creative concepts, visual elements, and even press release wording from their collaboration workshops and applied them to the Bremen project.

In response to this situation, Stuttgart has expressed its dissatisfaction to both Bremen and the design company and is evaluating the possibility of taking legal action. Bremen's attitude is relatively calm; CEO Filbry stated that while he believes their new image is unique, he has arranged a meeting with the design company to clarify the facts.

Regarding the external accusations, the Societas agency explicitly denied them in an interview, emphasizing that both designs were independently completed based on the unique characteristics of each club, and there was absolutely no repurposing of previous work. They are currently in communication with all parties.

In addition to the letter "Ü," both parties also show high similarity in "typographical patterns" and "the use of founding years."
