On August 4th, RB Leipzig officially announced that 35-year-old Norwegian international goalkeeper Nyland has rejoined the club on a free transfer.

RB Leipzig have signed Sevilla goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland on a free transfer. The Norwegian international has signed a contract until 2028 and will wear the number 1 shirt.

The 1.92-meter-tall goalkeeper previously played for Leipzig during the 2022/23 season. Nyland joined Leipzig in October 2022, made 3 official appearances for the team, and helped them successfully defend the DFB-Pokal title that season. He then transferred to Sevilla, playing in La Liga and Champions League matches for the team.

The 35-year-old Nyland will take part in the team's first training session in Saalfeld on Tuesday.
