Liverpool legend Smicer discussed his views on Curtis Jones' future.

Curtis Jones' current contract with Liverpool expires in June next year, and he has recently been continuously linked with Internazionale by the media.
Regarding this, Smicer said: "I would be very sad if Curtis left. I really admire him. His technique is excellent; what he lacks now is the coach's trust, because players need consistent playing time. If you can't play continuously, you start to doubt yourself."
"If you train every day but can't play on the weekend, you'll be sad. But he hasn't been a starter for a long time. Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, or Mac Allister have replaced him. He's 25, and I think he wants to find a team where he can play every game. That way, his confidence can grow."
"He's now in a situation where he doubts his true position; he's even played at right-back. I think he's looking for a team where he can be a regular starter. If he leaves, I'll be sorry because he's a good person. He's technically good, and his passing and dribbling are decent. We'll have to see what Iraola thinks. If Iraola wants him to stay, gives him new opportunities, and makes his plans clear to him, he can stay."
