Former Manchester United and Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has revealed that lessons learned at Old Trafford are now shaping his career at Brighton.

In his first interview with the club after signing, Welbeck stated that his experiences at Manchester United shaped his approach as a player.

"I grew up in a great dressing room with strong and admirable characters, which laid a solid foundation for me in terms of professionalism," Welbeck said.

Welbeck added: "Everything I do every day is to improve myself and become better, and also to help my teammates around me progress."

"Yes, I have worked with some very good players, and these experiences have also helped me grow into a better player."

Welbeck made his Manchester United first-team debut in 2008, making 142 appearances and scoring 29 goals for the Red Devils across all competitions.
