On August 13th, the Spanish Football Federation officially announced that the Spanish Super Cup will be held in Istanbul from February 2nd to 7th next year.

Istanbul's Atatürk Olympic Stadium will host the 2027 Spanish Super Cup, after the Spanish Football Federation reached an agreement to hold the event there. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, and Atletico Madrid will compete for the title.

After a period of work and negotiations, Istanbul was finally chosen as the host city for the Spanish Super Cup. During this process, the selection analyzed bids from up to seven cities around the world.

The Spanish Football Federation partnered with SELA, which has been collaborating with the Spanish Football Federation on event development since the Spanish Super Cup moved to Saudi Arabia. The Spanish Super Cup will be held in Istanbul from February 2nd to 7th, 2027.

The event will return to Saudi Arabia in 2028 because the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia conflicted with the dates of the Spanish Super Cup, so the Spanish Football Federation has been working to find a different venue for the 2027 event.
