According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vlahovic's time at Juventus is officially coming to an end. The former Serbian striker will sign a new lucrative contract with Besiktas in Istanbul, after his contract with the Turin club expired and renewal negotiations made no substantial progress. After joining from Fiorentina four and a half years ago, Vlahovic made 168 appearances for Juventus, scoring 68 goals. However, the other side of this experience is also very clear: the economic cost.

During the statistical period, the total cost paid by Juventus for Vlahovic, including pre-tax wages and player amortization, reached 162.13 million euros, of which 76.78 million euros were pre-tax wages and 85.36 million euros were amortization costs, specifically including transfer fees paid to Fiorentina, agent fees, and other bonuses. However, in recent seasons, the economic return on this investment has significantly declined. By comparing these figures with on-field output, it is clear how much Juventus spent per goal, per appearance, and per minute for the former Serbian center-forward.
The most direct statistic is goals: each goal scored by Vlahovic at Juventus cost the club an average of about 2.38 million euros, with significant fluctuations between seasons. In the 2022-23 season, this figure was 2.27 million euros; by the 2023-24 season, with 18 goals, his cost per goal dropped to 1.81 million euros, which was his best output season in Turin. In the 2024-25 season, this figure rose again to 2.46 million euros. Last season, this ratio became particularly heavy: 10 goals corresponded to a total cost of 4.18 million euros, equivalent to 417,500 euros per goal. The cost per appearance also showed a similar trend. Vlahovic played 168 games for Juventus, costing an average of 965,000 euros per game. This figure rose year by year, from 680,000 euros in the 2021-22 season to 758,000 euros in the following season, and then to 948,886 euros in the 2024-25 season. By the 2025-26 season, with 23 appearances, the average cost per game had risen to 1.82 million euros.
There is an even more specific statistic: his actual time on the pitch. Vlahovic played a total of 10,766 minutes in his Juventus career. Averaged over the total cost, each minute cost 15,060 euros. This figure peaked last season: 1,162 minutes corresponded to a cost of 4.18 million euros, equivalent to 35,930 euros per minute. The final result on paper is still a striker scoring 68 goals in 168 games, but for Juventus, this was an investment of over 162.13 million euros. Statistically, the average cost of this deal per goal, per game, and per minute is not low.
