Manchester United are close to a full agreement with Brighton to sign Carlos Baleba.

The club already have a five-year contract ready for him to sign when the club-to-club deal is formally concluded.

Medical plans will also be scheduled swiftly once it is done.

Sky Sports News has been reporting on United's interest in Baleba since last autumn and broke the news that they enquired about signing him during the January transfer window.

He has remained one of their top targets this summer and is set to become their third addition in midfield after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
