Ian Wright fears Arsenal could lose Skelly this summer. With Andrea Berta at the helm, the Gunners have spent nearly £400m since the summer of 2025, while only recouping around £50m in transfer income, leaving the midfielder's future at the Emirates somewhat uncertain.

Earlier this month, football.london exclusively reported that both Chelsea and Manchester United had been offered the chance to sign Lewis-Skelly. It is understood that if the Gunners receive a good offer, it would be difficult for the Emirates hierarchy to refuse.
Arsenal chief executive Richard Garlick later confirmed this in an interview. He stated that the Gunners were not actively looking to sell the Hale End academy product, but would "obviously consider" an offer if "the right opportunity arose."
football.london understands that despite the club's hierarchy being open to a sale, Lewis-Skelly himself does not want to leave Arsenal and remains focused on performing on the pitch. Speaking on the 'Stick to Football' podcast, Wright questioned why Arsenal would cash in.
Wright said: "I don't know where these claims are coming from, because I know for a fact it's not from his camp, nor his mother. Arsenal fans, stop panicking because his mother is apparently peddling him around.
"Mills has said he's happy. Why don't Arsenal just say he's not for sale? Of course, he would be a good signing for Manchester United, just look at how he's playing now.
"Things are happening, and this is what I worry about with Arsenal, the way we do business with intermediaries now. How do these rumors get out when we clearly know they want to stay and are happy?
"[Gabriel] Martinelli has not been in contact with anyone at the club, but he's being peddled around. Who is doing this? And why is it happening?"
Wright continued: "You know what's most confusing? We're trying to break records to sign Vinicius Junior, while also rushing to sell players. How do you explain that? What's going on?
"We have a big squad, so some people have to leave, but it seems like everyone leaving Arsenal is going to Turkey, which is another matter. Unfortunately, once academy players break into the first team and perform, there's always the pressure of being pure profit.
"It's the same with Ethan Nwaneri. I hear now they won't sell him, but want to loan him out, which I'm happy about because I don't think he's ever truly had a consistent run of opportunities in that position.
"A player like Mills, playing so well, it's incredible what he can do, and Manchester United will certainly be looking to see if there's an opportunity to make something happen.
"They've already signed Guimaraes, and they've signed Rice. He doesn't want to leave, which is the most baffling thing. I just don't understand why Arsenal don't just come out and say he's not for sale."
Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Lewis-Skelly does not want to leave, and there is no need for the Gunners to consider selling him.
