Cameron Harper scored late in the second half after subbing in a minute earlier and the New York Red Bulls rallied for a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire on Saturday night.
Harper replaced Julian Hall in the 85th minute then used assists from Eric Maxim-Choupo and Omar Valencia to score in the 86th. It was his first goal in his fourth appearance this season.
Maren Heile-Selassie used assists from defender Viktor Radojević and Jonathan Bamba in the 38th minute to score his fourth goal and give Chicago a 1-0 lead that stood through halftime.
It was the first assist for Radojević in his third career start and 10th appearance.
Ethan Horvath had four saves for New York (7-9-5) to help end a two-match skid.
Chris Brady saved five shots for Chicago (11-6-3), now 2-2-2 in its last six matchups with the Red Bulls.
Chicago saw a three-match winning streak in league play end. The Fire had won six in a row in all competitions for the first time since their debut season in 1998.
