Milan defeated Torino 2-1 away from home in the opening round of Serie A. Head coach Amorim was interviewed by DAZN after the match.

On Sise's performance
Yes, it wasn’t just the crucial goal he scored, but also the exceptional technical quality Sise displayed throughout the match. In the first half especially, he played like one of the most composed and experienced players on our team. His dribbling and ability to orchestrate attacks were outstanding.
That said, we still have plenty to improve as a team. From the 75th minute onwards, we clearly struggled physically. To maintain that pressing intensity for the full 90 minutes, we need more matches to build our fitness and understanding. We'll focus on addressing this in the coming week. Some players have only been training with us for a week—or have completed just three sessions—so they're essentially using these matches to complete their pre-season preparation.
On Your Celebration and the Emergence of "Amorim's Milan"
That celebration reflected the passion a coach should have—the same passion I had when cheering for Milan as a fan. Now, I’m privileged to channel that passion with my staff. It is essential throughout this long rebuilding process.
This style of play is closer than ever to our vision, but this team still needs time to learn and work together in this completely new way. Tonight, with Musa's performance, Chukwueze's assist and man-of-the-match award, and Sise's decisive goal, we showed a blueprint for what we're building, although we're still far from finished.
On halftime adjustments
I completely agree with your analysis. In the first half, my priority was to control the ball and avoid a chaotic back-and-forth. We moved the ball well into their penalty area but lacked aggression and the killer instinct in the final third.
At halftime, we discussed this directly as a team. Winning requires aggression toward goal. The players understood perfectly, and in the opening 20 minutes of the second half, we played with high intensity and impact. Unfortunately, we ran out of steam late on because, as I mentioned, our physical condition cannot yet sustain that for 90 minutes.
Priorities Moving Forward
Winning. In football, that’s the only thing that matters—and what makes us happy and proud. Starting tomorrow, we must improve in both penalty areas: creating more aggressively in theirs while defending more solidly in ours. There’s still a lot of work ahead.
