Man United still hope Arsenal can be persuaded to sell Lewiso-Skelly despite the player's recent run of consecutive starts, according to The Sun.
The 19-year-old Lewiso-Skelly has attracted interest from Man United and Chelsea, but he started for Arsenal in their 3-0 Community Shield victory over Man City and their 3-0 Premier League win against Coventry.
Sources revealed that Lewiso-Skelly's starts were partly due to Martin Zubimendi's poor form and Merino's late return from representing Spain in the Euro 2024 final.
Arsenal value Lewiso-Skelly at more than £50 million. As other clubs are unlikely to meet this asking price, Mikel Arteta is increasingly confident of retaining the academy player.

Arteta stated that he is “100 percent” sure Lewis-Skelly will stay.
Before the final month of last season, Lewiso-Skelly had started only two Premier League games because of Arteta's concerns about his lack of maturity.
