Carlos Espi has joined Real Madrid on a contract until 2031, in a sudden blockbuster transfer that has completely upended life for the player and his family. The player's father, Juanjo Espi, recently gave a media interview in which he openly shared the story and emotional journey behind the transfer for the first time.

Juanjo admitted that this transfer completely exceeded the family's expectations.
