talkSPORT recently revealed that on transfer deadline day, Chelsea made a desperate attempt to sign Everton midfielder James Garner, but Everton refused to sell.

The Everton midfielder has been a rumored target for the Blues. Xabi Alonso is keen on the former Manchester United academy player, who can also operate as a right-back.

talkSPORT sources revealed that Chelsea were willing to pay £65 million for the 25-year-old, having previously been waiting for Enzo Fernández's transfer to be completed.

However, Everton was unwilling to consider any offers as the transfer window was closing.

Regarding Camara

If Chelsea restart their pursuit of Lamine Camara, they will face competition from Liverpool.

Camara was originally set to move from Monaco to Stamford Bridge for £47 million on deadline day. The two clubs had even agreed terms, but Monaco pulled out, much to Chelsea's frustration.

talkSPORT exclusively learned that Liverpool has contacted Camara's agent, expressing interest in signing the player next summer.

The 22-year-old Senegal international is seen as a potential replacement for Alexis Mac Allister, with the Argentine midfielder possibly leaving Anfield after the season. Mac Allister's father recently denied widespread rumors of a summer move to Manchester City, insisting that his son would remain at Liverpool, with his contract running until summer 2028.

Camara's failure to complete his agreement to join Chelsea has already angered the Blues, and a move to Liverpool would further fuel their frustration.
