According to the jersey information website Footy Headlines, Al Nassr recently used AI-generated jersey product images in its official online store, but there were multiple significant discrepancies between the generated images and the official Adidas jerseys, including outdated technology identifiers.

Rather than photographing the new season's white and platinum third jersey traditionally, Al Nassr used AI-generated images in its official online store.
However, this "convenient" approach quickly exposed obvious problems. The AI-generated jersey images contained multiple details inconsistent with the actual product, and even misrepresented the original design and technical features of the jersey.
The authentic Al Nassr 2026-27 season third jersey features Adidas's new enlarged three-stripe design on the shoulders—one of the brand's new changes ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
In the AI-generated images used in Al Nassr's official store, however, the shoulders display ordinary thin stripes instead, and the special ventilation holes clearly present on the actual jersey fabric are completely absent.

An even more glaring problem appeared at the jersey's hem.
AI brought back "outdated technology"
The AI-generated image of the Al Nassr jersey displayed the "Aeroready" technology identifier at the bottom left hem.
The authentic player-version jersey, however, uses the latest "Climacool+" technology identifier.

According to reports, Adidas officially phased out the "Aeroready" branding on its main jersey products after the 2026 World Cup in favor of the updated Climacool series fabrics.
More significantly, Aeroready was previously used primarily for fan versions of jerseys and was never applied to player-version match jerseys. Therefore, the appearance of this identifier on a premium player-version jersey represents a clear technical error.
Footy Headlines argues that these successive errors reveal a concerning lack of diligence from the club's marketing and retail departments.
While AI-generated jersey renderings can reduce photography costs and save time, AI cannot truly understand the technical specifications, fabric properties, and updates to professional apparel designs.
When clubs use AI-generated images to replace actual product photography, they risk presenting consumers with content that misrepresents the actual product.
This practice is particularly problematic for fans willing to pay premium prices for official jerseys.
Como 1907 previously drew attention for using AI-generated images for its 2026-27 season jerseys, and now Al Nassr faces a similar situation.
