Inter Milan legend Bergomi discussed the tactical changes made by Chivu since taking over the Nerazzurri in an interview on Sky Sport Italia.

Bergomi stated that Inter Milan accept certain defensive risks, and the team applies intense pressure. Bergomi believes the real change Chivu wants to implement this season is to make Inter Milan's pressing even more aggressive.

Bergomi said: "Inter Milan accepts some risks in their defensive phase. They press very high, and risks exist. Bisseck is the fastest of the three center-backs. I think this is the real change Chivu wants to bring this year: to raise the team's pressing line higher."

Chivu also commented on his team's performance following their Champions League defeat to Real Madrid. He said: "What I see is a brave team with character. They came here knowing what Real Madrid is as an opponent, but they didn't come to play defensively. We're working to build something important for the future, and from what I've seen, I believe everything is heading in the right direction.

"I will also take responsibility for the mistakes, because I proposed and asked the team to do certain things. I care more about how the team reacts to those mistakes, and the team kept the match together. We had the right attitude, even though we missed some chances. We created opportunities, controlled the ball, penetrated the box multiple times... Football is about goals scored and conceded, but I appreciate the team's bravery and character. We came here to play our way."
