Fulham have announced the signing of striker Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal at Craven Cottage, with the club option for an additional 12 months, following a £34m (€39.7m) move from Los Blancos.

Garcia is Alvaro Arbeloa's first signing as Fulham boss, and the Cottagers' second overall this summer following the permanent addition of Jonah Kusi Asare.

Arbeloa coached Garcia at Madrid last season; the striker scored eight goals and provided three assists across all competitions under Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso in 2025-26.

He was also the joint-top scorer at the 2025 Club World Cup, finishing with four goals alongside Angel Di Maria, Serhou Guirassy and Marcos Leonardo, while the Spaniard's five direct goal contributions were only matched by Michael Olise and Cole Palmer.

Garcia was not the only Madrid player to complete a move to Fulham on Monday, as the club also announced the transfer of Cesar Palacios.

Twenty-one-year-old Palacios also signed a five-year contract, with the club option for a further 12 months, following a reported £8.5m (€9.9m) deal.

The duo could make their competitive debuts for Fulham on August 24, when the Cottagers face local rivals Chelsea in their Premier League season opener.
