According to the latest report from The Athletic, Real Madrid is close to reaching an agreement with RB Leipzig for the signing of Jean-Diao Mandi.

It is reported that after lengthy negotiations, Real Madrid is on the verge of reaching an agreement with RB Leipzig for the signing of Jean-Diao Mandi. The 19-year-old has been sidelined from RB Leipzig's pre-season training camp in Austria due to the ongoing transfer negotiations. Once an agreement is reached, the Ivorian international will be allowed to travel to Madrid for a medical examination.

After Real Madrid's initial offer was rejected, an improved offer worth €120 million was made, with a fixed fee of €100 million. Mandi became available following his participation with Côte d'Ivoire in the World Cup.

RB Leipzig confirmed that Mandi did not travel to Austria for the club's pre-season training camp on Saturday due to the ongoing transfer negotiations with Real Madrid, dismissing reports of illness.
