According to French media outlet Footmercato, after Nayef Aguerd failed to join Real Sociedad, Al-Sadd launched another offensive in the past few hours in an attempt to sign the Moroccan international.

In early August, the Qatari club was close to reaching an agreement with Olympique Marseille on a paid loan of €4 million, which also included an automatic buyout clause valued at €11 million.
Ultimately, Aguerd's former club, Real Sociedad, came from behind, first convincing the player, and then Olympique Marseille. However, the transfer took an unexpected turn at the last minute.
We understand that in the past few hours, the deal has entered a more active phase, as Al-Sadd has made a direct transfer offer to Olympique Marseille for the former Rennes player. The offer was €8 million, but Olympique Marseille rejected it.
