Feyenoord has officially announced the signing of 26-year-old English winger Reiss Nelson. Both parties have reached an agreement, and Nelson will sign a one-year contract with the club, valid until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Nelson previously joined Feyenoord on loan in the 2021-22 season from Arsenal. This summer, his contract with Arsenal officially expired, allowing his return to Feyenoord without a transfer fee.
Nelson stated: "I am really delighted to be back here again. I had a fantastic year at Feyenoord and always felt at home. So it's great to be back at De Kuip. I've been following Feyenoord and am happy to see the club progressing step by step. Next week, we will embark on a new Champions League journey, which is the best example. I will do my best to contribute to the team as soon as possible, and I can't wait to wear this jersey again."
Nelson joined the Arsenal academy at age 9 and developed into an England youth international. As one of the club's highly valued young talents, he made his Arsenal first-team debut at 17.
Previously, Nelson had a successful loan spell at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. In the summer of 2021, he joined Feyenoord on loan. With his excellent speed and dribbling ability, he gradually gained more playing time during the season and became a key winger for the team.
Nelson played an important role in Feyenoord's Europa Conference League campaign, which culminated in the final against Roma in Tirana, Albania. He started in that match, which many considered his final appearance for the club.
However, this story has now entered a new chapter. After subsequent loan spells at Premier League clubs Fulham and Brentford, Nelson has now returned to Rotterdam, donning the Feyenoord kit once again.
For the new season, Nelson will wear the number 17 jersey for Feyenoord.
