Alisson, from Atlético Mineiro, is about to realize a major dream in his career. The forward will wear the Shakhtar Donetsk jersey for the first time in the Champions League. In an interview with "ge," he discussed his expectations for his European debut in the continent's top club competition, having started the season in excellent form.

"I can honestly say that this is a dream come true. Not just any dream, but one of the biggest dreams of my professional career. This is a competition I grew up watching, and I always imagined myself competing on that stage. Now I can finally make it a reality," said the former Atlético Mineiro player.
Alisson has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in the first 5 rounds of the Ukrainian league. His strong early-season performance also earned him the club's Player of the Month award, voted by fans. Alisson stated that his start to the season has boosted his confidence ahead of the biggest challenge of his career.
"Of course, I'm confident. It's not just me; the whole team is in great form, full of confidence, and very aware of what we're capable of. We've worked hard to get here, and now it's time to enjoy ourselves and do what we love and do best," he said.
Shakhtar Donetsk will face several traditional powerhouses in the league phase, including Real Madrid and Inter Milan. Alisson acknowledged that the intensity of the Champions League will be significantly higher than the matches he has experienced so far with the Ukrainian club.
"I believe the Champions League will elevate us to a different level of competition. Last season, we were already tested in the Europa League and Conference League against traditional strong teams from other countries. Next, we will face PSV, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and other top sides, so there will certainly be many tough battles. But we are prepared and looking forward to every challenge," he concluded.
