According to Spanish media Mundo Betis, the Real Betis vs Getafe match will feature a special tribute to the elderly, with the club's 11 oldest members escorting Real Betis players onto the pitch.

Organized by the Real Betis Foundation, this activity is part of the club's "Elderly Week." The event will run from September 28th to October 4th and will feature a series of activities designed to recognize and highlight the important role of elderly members in society and within the Real Betis family.

One of the most special moments will occur before the Real Betis vs Getafe match, when the club's 11 oldest members will escort players onto the pitch. These senior members will personally participate in this significant occasion and represent all elderly members of the Real Betis community.

The event has the support of Grupo Reche, a sponsor of the Real Betis Genuine project, which aims to demonstrate the role of sports in promoting social integration, participation, and improving quality of life for the elderly.

During the match, Real Betis will also officially launch the "Real Betis Walking Football" project. This is a modified form of football designed for elderly players, enabling people of all ages to continue enjoying the sport and its values.

Throughout "Elderly Week," the Real Betis Foundation will organize additional activities, including a visit to the Nuestra Señora de Consolación nursing home for the "From Betis Fan to Grandparent" letter-writing initiative. This activity connects elderly residents with the Real Betis community through correspondence, strengthening intergenerational bonds and helping combat loneliness among seniors.

The foundation will also welcome groups of elderly supporters to La Cartuja stadium, allowing them to tour Real Betis facilities and explore some of the club's iconic locations.

Real Betis stated that this series of activities aims to raise awareness of elderly members' contributions, recognize their life experiences, and strengthen their connection with the club, ensuring that supporters of all ages feel part of the Real Betis family.
