The midfielder made an analysis about the United States style of play and the Mexican team; as he was surprised by the elimination of El Tricolor.

The United States reached the round of 16 of the U20 World Cup after defeating Qatar by the minimum in the last game of the group stage, to now go against France in hopes to get into quarterfinals.

Richard Ledezma talked to Telemundo Deportes after the Stars and Stripes qualification, where he recounted his performance in the field, "I feel very good, I played well and helped the team," mentioning his hopes to be able to take out France and without fear saying "Yes we can get to the final, we can."

Surprised by Mexico's performance

Richard Ledezma took the chance to talked about Mexico's performance after his southern neighbors were eliminated in the first round of the World Cup with no points.

Ledezma point out the standout difference between Mexico and USA, "yes, Mexico's elimination surprised because they did not play as a team, Mexico is very good with individualities, and we are good as a team," said the USMNT player.
