According to Tottenham Hotspur's official report, Porro returned to the Tottenham Hotspur training base on Thursday morning and received a world champion's welcome.

The Spanish international returned to the team for pre-season training for the first time after winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the team in the summer.

In this tournament, Porro started 5 of 7 matches for Spain, including all knockout rounds. He helped Spain eliminate Austria, Portugal, Belgium, and France in succession, and defeated Argentina in the final on July 19.
The full-back also scored the first two goals of his national team career in the tournament held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, first scoring against Austria and then scoring a brilliant goal against France in the semi-final.
Now, 26-year-old Porro is a world champion. This is also the fourth player in the club's history to lift the World Cup during his time at Tottenham Hotspur. Teammates, coaching staff, and players and staff lined up to welcome him back to the Tottenham Hotspur training base.
