Paratici, currently working for Fiorentina, attended an event at Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, where he reflected on the historic deal to sign Ronaldo during his time at Juventus.

This transfer was historic for Paratici himself and for Italian football: "That's absolutely true, but it's also due to the player's caliber. He helped us elevate our brand's global reach. We earned the opportunity to sign Ronaldo over the years by winning Serie A titles, reaching two Champions League finals, and signing and selling many excellent players. Those 11 years at Juventus will be hard to replicate. Even when Ronaldo played away, stadiums were packed, and home clubs had the chance to raise ticket prices precisely because he was playing."
Given the immense passion of the fans, will it be difficult to work at Fiorentina?
"I must thank the Fiorentina supporters because we received a very warm welcome. I don't think it's a difficult place to work. I've also worked abroad, and I don't think anywhere is easy. If you work diligently and continuously update your knowledge, things will go smoothly; if you can bring others along on that journey, it will be even better. We must allow people to dream, to come to the stadium with the hope of seeing their team win and experiencing passion."
Why are many clubs owned by foreign owners?
"Their way of thinking is different. Many years ago, this was less common, but it's becoming increasingly common now. This applies not only to football but also to other sports. We must help these clubs adapt to our country and provide support. They bring a different perspective because they view football differently. We Italians focus primarily on results, while they also emphasize infrastructure and many other aspects."
