Sport reports that Rodri Hernández has rejoined the team for training. The midfielder completed his first team training session since arriving at Barcelona on Monday, taking another step towards his competitive debut. Another significant development was Balde’s return to normal training after he was omitted from the squad for the previous match against Elche.

The training session followed the standard post-match routine: players who had played significant minutes underwent recovery training, while those with limited playing time took part in more intensive work. Rodri joined the latter group.
Rodri arrived in Barcelona a week ago and was officially presented on Tuesday. A day later, he made his first appearance for the team in the Joan Gamper Trophy, though he was not yet match-ready. Since then, he has been following a customized training plan to regain fitness after the summer break.
Although Rodri was Barcelona’s first new signing to be registered for La Liga, he was not included in the squad for the opening league match against Elche. Hansi Flick revealed after the match that Rodri would join first-team training on Monday, and that session has now taken place. Rodri’s competitive debut is therefore drawing closer.
Balde returns to regular training
Balde also took part in this session. After being left out of the squad for the match against Elche, he has returned to team training. Hansi Flick explained after the match that he had concerns about Balde's physical condition and had discussed them with the full-back, clarifying that he had not asked Balde to leave the club.
Jordi Pesquera did not participate in training because he is currently with the Spanish U18 national team.
Barcelona Await Gavi Examination Results
Barcelona are still awaiting the results of Gavi’s medical examination. Gavi left the field during the match against Elche following a challenge that resulted in a knee injury, and he did not participate in recovery training.
Barcelona stated that the club would release the midfielder’s examination results only after medical tests confirmed an injury. Hansi Flick noted after the match that preliminary assessments indicated Gavi’s condition was better than initially feared.
