No, we didn't discuss it. But I knew he would do it, even though we didn't plan to do it together. That's just something the media likes to focus on.

If he pays me, I'll consider it, hahahaha.

Last season was tough. You couldn't consistently threaten opponents in your usual way. In your opinion, what was the reason?

Many reasons, mainly injuries.

Was it physical or mental?

Both, because when you're injured, you think: "I can't do certain things anymore," which leads to overthinking, like not being able to make moves you used to make, and those moves causing pain. But I've overcome it now.

New coach Enzo Fernández told us last week that you are world-class, and he said that if you find your rhythm and develop chemistry with your teammates, you'll have a great season. Did he tell you that? What was his main advice?

He just said to play freely, because he knows what I can do when I'm in good form. I feel like I can get the ball anywhere on the pitch and find areas where I can be a threat. That's what he told me.

You also reunited with Morgan Rogers this summer, forming a trident. You and Rogers have been friends since you were 14. He was part of the Manchester City academy. I heard you even persuaded him to transfer to Chelsea. What did you say to him? What can the two of you achieve together?

I just told him that he would make a big difference. We would also sign many players, so we would have a great team and could achieve something special together.

I think we are two different types of players. He is more physical and strong, while I am more skillful.
