Manchester City have heavily revamped their squad in the summer window, with Maresca receiving full backing for the daunting task of replacing Guardiola.

According to The Mirror, Manchester City's hierarchy is very satisfied with what has been described as an "excellent" transfer window. Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and Football Director Txiki Begiristain believe that new manager Maresca has been given a squad strong enough to reclaim the league title from Arsenal. The final piece of the puzzle was the arrival of Enzo, for whom Manchester City paid £125 million, equalling the British transfer record.

Manchester City's recruitment efforts began as early as January, when Guehi and Semenyo arrived at the Etihad Stadium. Both were originally summer targets for Manchester City, but after learning that the transfers could be completed six months ahead of schedule, the club acted quickly.

With Maresca succeeding Guardiola, this personnel change is seen as a "revamp" rather than a rebuilding. Compared to the start of Guardiola's final season in charge, Manchester City's current squad is considered to be stronger.

Maresca has high hopes for young defender Vitór Reis, who is expected to have a breakout season. Ayoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old rising star who recently joined from Lille, has also impressed Maresca in training. As Bouaddi is only 18, Maresca will develop him patiently, but given the youngster's incredible talent, he may receive more playing time than expected.

Manchester City began scouting Bouaddi before the World Cup. After the youngster impressed on the world's biggest stage, the club decided to move quickly to complete the deal.

Elliott Anderson's arrival was to replace Bernardo Silva, but Manchester City's most important signing was undoubtedly Enzo. Maresca made it clear that he had worked with Enzo at Chelsea, so Manchester City is getting a proven winner who has already performed at the highest level. He not only strengthens the midfield with goals and assists but also brings much-needed experience to a team that lacks experience in some positions.

Earlier this week, the deal almost fell through. Chelsea insisted on their £135 million asking price, and Manchester City were prepared to withdraw from negotiations. But on the last day of the transfer window, Chelsea lowered their asking price by £10 million, and Manchester City immediately moved in. The two sides did not complete negotiations until five hours before the transfer window closed.

Manchester City now believes this squad is strong enough to challenge for titles in all competitions. The rest is up to Maresca.
