September 4 – Portuguese second-tier side Académica de Coimbra has signed Spanish right-back Javi Grande on a contract until 2028.

Grande, 21, whose full name is Xavier Grande Sánchez, plays as a right-back. Last season, he featured for Marítimo, making 25 appearances in the Portuguese second division with 2 assists as the club secured promotion to the Portuguese top flight.

Grande came through Levante's youth academy before progressing to their first team and making his professional debut. He has also played for Real Oviedo, helping them secure promotion to La Liga.

The Spanish defender has represented Spain at various youth international levels. Académica de Coimbra praised Grande's physical attributes, tactical discipline, and familiarity with the Portuguese second-division environment.

Grande will bolster Académica de Coimbra's defensive ranks following the transfer.
