When asked by "Thmanyah" about his feelings upon hearing of his nomination, Mane said: "It's an incredible feeling! I want to thank the fans, and of course, the journalists."

Mane admitted that there were other names that could have been on the list, stating: "I know there are many players who could have been nominated, especially players from the Saudi League, but the votes have decided everything, so I want to express my gratitude again."
